Posted

SUBLETTE COUNTY — Following the FDA and CDC's authorization of an additional bivalent COVID-19 vaccine on April 19, Sublette County Public Health is encouraging immunocompromised individuals ages 5 and up and everyone over 65, to get the latest dose. The bivalent COVID-19 vaccine can protect folks from both the original virus that causes COVID-19 and the Omicron variants BA.4 and BA.5.

Adults aged 65 and older who have already received a bivalent mRNA vaccine dose can choose to receive a second bivalent mRNA dose at least four months after their most recent one. People who are immunocompromised and who received a bivalent mRNA vaccine dose have the option of receiving a second bivalent mRNA vaccine dose at least two months after their most recent, as well as subsequent doses at the discretion of their healthcare provider.

Sublette County Public Health offers bivalent doses of Moderna and Pfizer vaccines at the COVID Vaccine Clinics held in Pinedale every Thursday from 1 to 4 p.m. and by appointment and at the Marbleton office every Tuesday from 1 to 4 p.m. and by appointment.
