PFAC adds second Nutcracker performance in December

Posted

In addition to the previously scheduled Thursday, Dec. 1 production of The Nutcracker, The Pinedale Fine Arts Council (PFAC) has added a second night of the holiday classic on Friday, Dec. 2. Both productions will be performed by The San Diego Ballet Company and will take place at 7 p.m. in the Sheppard Auditorium.

Both shows will feature over 45 local dance students who auditioned back in September.

"Tickets for the Thursday night performance were already moving pretty well and San Diego Ballet had that next night open so adding the Friday night show was a no-brainer," Tim Ruland, PFAC's Executive Director said. "The turnout for local auditions was huge so it made sense from that standpoint as well. I think it's a great opportunity for the entire community and hopefully we'll sell out both shows!"

The world-acclaimed San Diego Ballet brings America’s favorite holiday event to dazzling life with their production of The Nutcracker, which features Tchaikovsky’s timeless score and an international cast of beautifully costumed dancers. Sugarplum fairies, leaping Cossacks and flurries of snowflakes swirl across the stage, in this magical journey through a young girl’s imagination.
Tickets for both the Thursday night and Friday night productions of The Nutcracker are available locally at Pine Coffee Supply, The Cowboy Shop, Office Outlets, The Big Piney Library and online at pinedalefinearts.com.
Ticket prices are $20 adults / $7 students.
This event is presented by the Pinedale Fine Arts Council with support in part from the Wyoming Arts Council through funding from the Wyoming Legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts which believes a great nation deserves great art, Sublette BOCES #1, the Sublette County Recreation Board, Pinedale Travel & Tourism, the Wyoming Community Foundation - Sublette, Tegeler & Associates, Jonah Energy, Purewest, The Rocky Mountain Power Foundation & Jackson Fork Ranch.
