Robert Jerome Crossley, age 93, of Pinedale, Wyo., died March 4, 2023, only two weeks after his wife, Joan Gilbert Crossley,’s passing. Mr. Crossley was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a graduate of Dartmouth College Class of 1951 and followed that with an MBA from Loyola University in Chicago. Mr. Crossley enjoyed a successful career with International Harvester and retired as the director of Labor Relations.
He was a man of many talents, from lapidary to cooking, from agate “bugs” to “chicken in a nest.” Mr. Crossley easily completed the New York Times crossword puzzles with a pen! He had a dry, but amazing, sense of humor, which included authoring and publishing “Auntie Igor’s Anti Dictionary,” where words do not mean what you think they mean.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Joan Gilbert Crossley; parents, Robert Jerome Crossley Sr. and Myrtle Engdall Crossley.
He is survived by his children, Robert James Crossley, William Allen Crossley and Judith Crossley Mueller; grandchildren, Nathan Crossley, Colin Crossley and wife Swathi, Hannah Crossley, Austin Crossley, Eric Mueller and Kyle Mueller.
