PINEDALE – Pinedale Wyrkshop, a new Makerspace right here in Pinedale, opened its doors this week to anyone seeking access to best-in-class tech tools so they can take their creative projects to the next level.

The newly renovated space in the Sublette BOCES building has an array of advanced technology tools such as 3D printers, laser cutters and high-end sewing machines. Pinedale Wyrkshop is a free community makerspace where people of all ages and ability levels can work on projects together and share ideas.

The project’s mission is to demonstrate that anyone can be a maker.

Development of Pinedale Wyrkshop was made possible through a partnership with the University of Wyoming’s Innovation Wyrkshop, and with financial support from the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services Division of Vocational Rehabilitation. It was brought to Pinedale through cooperation between Sublette BOCES and the Pinedale Fine Arts Council.

“PFAC jumped at the chance to develop a space for people to create and innovate freely,” PFAC Director Kari DeWitt said in a release. “We want our makerspace to empower makers of all ages and become a community gathering spot!”

Pinedale Wyrkshop will be open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m. by appointment. To learn more, including how to get started, visit www.pinedalewyrkshop.com. More information about all Wyoming makerspace locations can be found at www.wyrkshop.org.
