PINEDALE – Crowds flocked to the new Dudley Key Sports Complex last Saturday, June 4, for the official opening ceremonies of the new Pinedale Little League season.
Members of the local Veterans of Foreign War chapter helped with the opening flag presentation and National Anthem, sponsors were acknowledged, new mounds were dedicated, a raffle fundraiser was held and teams were introduced on a picturesque morning in Pinedale.
Little Leaguers played on a few fields while others took team pictures.
A free-will-donation BBQ served as lunch for all sluggers, spectators and the few fishermen who spent their morning casting a line as opposed to hitting line drives.
The weather held just long enough to hold all ceremonies, signaling the start of the baseball season in Sublette County.
