Larry W. Householder

Posted

Larry Warren Householder was born on Aug. 5, 1944, in Roseburg, Ore., to Warren and Elizabeth Householder.

He graduated from Douglas High School in 1966, and honorably served with the U.S. Army in Vietnam. On May 3, 2017, the world lost this amazing man. He passed away suddenly at his home in Winston, Ore.

He and his wife Tippy were happily married for 37 years.

Larry adored his family. He also loved fishing, woodworking, camping, sharing stories, his wife’s cooking, the Oregon coast, and of course … lots and lots of pepper. One of his greatest loves and accomplishments was the log cabin he and his family built in Pinedale, Wyo., where he and Tippy enjoyed 10 years of their retirement. His health later took them back to Oregon where they purchased his childhood home.

He leaves a huge hole in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife Tippy Householder, sons Troy (Renee) Householder, Randy (Heike) Driggs and Skip (Melody) Householder, his daughters Dawn (Larry) Downs and Brandy (David) Pitt, his brother James (Phyllis) Householder, sister Anne (Rick) Hahn, his dog Sassy and several grandkids, great-grandkids, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Warren and Elizabeth Householder.

The family held a Celebration of Life in Roseburg, Ore., on May 6, 2017.

There will be another Celebration of Life on May 13, 2017, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (White Mountain Building) at 1 p.m. in Rock Springs, Wyo. All friends and family are welcome to attend.
