SUBLETTE COUNTY – The first round of teams entered into the 2022 Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race were released by the race’s organizers on Wednesday morning. All 16 of those mushers got priority because they were in last year’s race. The second round of entries began on Wednesday and remained open to all qualified applicants to fill the 25-team field.
Among those returning will be Boulder’s Gwenn Bogart and Alix Crittenden of Bondurant. Perennial champion Anny Malo of St. Zenon, Quebec, Canada, will also be returning.
Next year’s race route will be different than in previous years with teams starting in Jackson then going to Teton County and Lander stops before coming to Sublette County. Teams will compete in Pinedale on Jan. 31, 2022, and then in Big Piney-Marbleton the following day.
