SUBLETTE COUNTY – Pinedale Snow Explorers, Sublette County Artists Guild, Chuckwagon Days and Sage and Snow Garden Club all have a long history of forming and participating in organizations. They’re all part of what gives this county its character.
The Sublette County Historical Society/Museum of the Mountain Man and the Green River Valley Museum are encouraging the help of those around to gather and document their history – as it is part of Sublette history.
Together, all the groups have created the Organizations Histories of Sublette County – part of the Sublette Centennial – to provide guidance and assistance on how to preserve different groups’ histories in Sublette County.
Any and all groups established in Sublette County any time during its history qualifies. There’s no requirements on establishment timeframes. Groups that are currently functioning and those no long active qualify just the same.
Some of the documents welcomed are meeting minutes, promotion materials, newsletters, correspondences, photographs and oral histories. Paper documents and digital files are accepted.
Those seeking more information can contact Ann Chambers Noble at anoble1227@gmail.com or by calling the Museum of the Mountain Man at 307-367-4101.
