Happy Holiday & Very Merry Christmas

PINEDALE – The Sheppard Auditorium was filled to the brim on Monday, Dec. 13, for the annual Pinedale Middle School’s choirs and bands holiday concerts.

First, choir director Greg Allen brought out the sixth-grade choir with kazoos, solos, bells and soloists Teagan Fildey singing “Joy to the World and Oakley Francis crooning “Christmas for Cowboys. The seventh- and eight-grade choir followed, also with featured soloists and its own arrangement of “Jingle Bells.” Pianist Rhonda Bennett accompanied both choirs.

The pleasing evening then turned over to band director Justin Smith, whose fifth-grade “crash band” joyful performed Smith’s arrangement of “Battling Carols.” They were followed by the sixth-grade intermediate band with a violin solo of “Jingle Bells” by Braylee Kinney. The seventh- and eighth-grade symphonic band lived up to its billing with more traditional favorites.
