Fair Board approves RV reservations, entertainment
PINEDALE – The Sublette County Fair Board conducted a special meeting at the Sublette County Conservation District building in Pinedale on Tuesday where new officers were elected and supplies were built for the upcoming fair.
Mike Henn was selected as the new board chair and Nancy Espenscheid was voted into the board treasurer position. Gary Hayward was enlisted onto the livestock sale committee and the duo of Kevin Hughes and Susan Nessan was placed on the livestock committee.
The board determined passes for RV parking can be reserved for $100 for the fair’s duration. Non-reservation spaces won’t be charged but will instead be on a first-come, first-served basis. Members of the board voiced their approval for marking designated stock trailer parking.
The board also approved hiring Tim Moffett, better known as comedy act Tim The Dairy Farmer, as entertainment for the fair.
Event budgets were locked in for the same amount as last year with the fair’s schedule unchanged, pending the status of archery.
Board members also thought it would be a good idea to talk with Sheriff KC Lehr about a police presence at the fair again with the aim of patrolling under-aged drinking.
The 2021 Sublette County Fair is planned for July 28-31.
