EMT course planned to address local need

SUBLETTE COUNTY — In an effort to address the growing need for trained emergency medical technicians (EMTs) in Sublette County, Sublette BOCES and the Sublette County Hospital District have teamed up to develop and provide a Basic EMT Certification Course.

This course will begin on Jan. 9, 2023, and end on May 10, 2023. The registration deadline for this class is Dec. 19. Scholarships are available for county residents through Sublette BOCES to assist with the cost of this course. For more information on applying for this scholarship, please email [email protected]

Public relations director for the hospital district Kari DeWitt notes, “We are very pleased to partner with Sublette BOCES to provide this important class. If you have ever considered becoming an EMT, this is your chance to do so. It is a fulfilling career that is vital to the health of our community. We are lucky to have such qualified local instructors.”

This course will be taught by local instructor and paramedic Jenny Michaud, who used to teach EMT courses at Laramie County Community College and intermediate EMT Jen Adam.

If you are interested in becoming nationally certified in a fast-paced and high-opportunity field, this is the course for you.

Classes will be Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-10 p.m. and five Saturdays.
