Child-endangering charges go to District Court


A Boulder man charged with inflicting injuries to a male juvenile had three counts moved to Ninth District Court after his April 22 hearing in Circuit Court.

Cody J. Rowan faces two felonies and a misdemeanor after he allegedly inflicted injuries on a juvenile male on April 2, according to court records.

On April 2, a juvenile male called 911 and said Rowan had “body slammed,” choked and hit him, according to Detective Travis Lanning’s affidavit filed with the charges in Sublette County Circuit Court.

Rowan and the juvenile male reportedly argued about showing respect to Rowan’s wife and as the juvenile left, Rowan allegedly lost his temper and slapped, threw down and choked him, the affidavit states. The juvenile was treated at the Pinedale Clinic and taken into protective custody.
