Big Piney Hall of Fame induction this weekend

MARBLETON — There is still time to purchase your tickets to the 12th Annual Big Piney Hall of Fame induction and banquet, planned for this Saturday, Sept. 16. The event is held in conjunction with the Big Piney High School Homecoming festivities.
Individuals being honored as distinguished alumni include attorneys John McKinley and Mary Anne Chandler Simmering, life-long resident and rancher Nancy Espenscheid and local businessman and community support Gary Rees.
Athletes being honored with inductions into the Big Piney Hall of Fame include former individual state champions; swimmer Karl Porter and trackstar Nick Smith. Multi-sport all-state athlete Jodi Eskelsen Druckenmiller and two-time football all-state standout Casey Knotts will also join in the induction ceremony.
The event begins with a reception at 5:30 p.m., followed by the banquet at 6 p.m. The public is invited and encouraged to attend. Tickets are $35 per person and should be reserved in advance by contacting the Big Piney High School Office at 307-367-3324. Tickets may also be obtained through Louann Heydt or Bill Lehr.
