Bailey Schupp's art chosen for UW walkthrough

Posted

WYOMING – A Pinedale native will be featured in the University of Wyoming Art Museum’s free gallery walkthrough this year.

Bailey Schupp was one of 35 award-winning students who will be featured in the 46th annual Juried UW Student Exhibition, starting Thursday, May 6, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The museum will offer in-person and Zoom options, and in-person attendees will be asked to follow the school’s mask and social distancing protocols.

More information on attending can be found at www.uwyo.edu/artmuseum/events.

The walkthrough gives students a chance to discuss their artistic motivations and to answer questions. The event is designed to help students develop as professional artists and bolster public speaking skills.

The exhibition will be on display through May 15.

This year, 35 students submitted 100 works of art for review, where 49 artworks were ultimately selected. An out-of-state juror is always invited to select submissions, with this year’s juror being Meredith Lynn, assistant curator and director of galleries at Florida State University’s Museum of Fine Arts.
