PINEDALE – Local traders and transient vendors alike gathered their tents outside the Sublette County Courthouse on Thursday morning, signaling the start of the Trader’s Row and Vendor Fair portion of the annual Green River Rendezvous.
Much like the original Rendezvous over a century ago, some of the traders involved have come from across the country, making a living off what they have to sell. One vendor said she was from California and is setting up her tent (which sells Bloody Mary mixes) with multiple stops between Pinedale and home.
Some of the goods being traded include sunglasses, jewelry, antlers, trinkets, gifts, concealed-carry vests, Native American garb and art. Of course, that’s only the non-edible goods for sale.
Traders and vendors will be established on the lawn all weekend, welcoming hundreds if not thousands of visitors on foot.
And with that, the 2021 Green River Rendezvous began.
